Hey Strangers, The RTX 5090 isn’t the only Nvidia GPU that has been facing delays. The RTX 5080, along with the abovementioned graphics card launched in January in extremely limited quantities. As said, overall demand plus scalper inflation led to low availability of the components. Currently, there is no word on whether the RTX 5080 will receive a supply update.The RTX 50 series, powering laptops and desktops is another notable GPU family that has been delayed until at least March. There have been several unsubstantiated reasons as to why the GPUs may have been delayed, including Nvidia’s focus on AI GPUs and internal miscommunication within the company. Notebookcheck also noted some graphics cards may have been experiencing performance and functionality issues. The company’s market valuation goals start at $100 billion and go up in $50 billion increments. (They climb to $150 billion, and so on until the $650 billion mark.) Tesla has a dozen market valuation goals and a dozen revenue and adjusted profit targets. The profit goals are designed to ensure that the company is “also executing well on both a top-line and bottom-line basis” as the company grows in valuation. For hitting these goals, Musk would receive 1.69 million shares of the company (about 1 percent). If Tesla were valued at $650 billion, that would make it one of the five largest companies in the US, and bigger than Amazon, which currently has a market cap of $640 billion. Tesla’s market cap is currently sitting at around $59.4 billion, which is slightly higher than Ford’s valuation of $47.7 billion but lower than General Motors’ $61.5 billion valuation. Musk is essentially saying that Tesla can be 10 times bigger than GM, though GM produces exponentially more cars and is profitable, while Tesla is neither. The discrepancy between prices grows when we consider the preceding 90-day period, where prices were higher by an average of over 8% during Black Friday 2020 than the minimum price in the preceding 90 days. Interestingly, the average discount advertised on products was less than 5%, with only 32% of all products reaching their lowest price point compared to the previous 30 days. We also noticed a similar trend of price movements throughout Black Week. Our analysis shows that the average prices during Black Week were higher by 1.8 percent versus the lowest price from last month and higher by more than 7 percent when compared to the lowest price points observed in the 3 months leading up to Black Week. The company says the problem “impacted a small number of legitimate player accounts,” and all accounts affected were restored. However, zebleer, who runs the Phantom Overlay store selling cheats, claims the problem is much bigger than Activision’s post makes it seem. In Michigan, canvassers and paid door knockers for the former president, contracted by a firm associated with America PAC, have been subjected to poor working conditions: A number of them have been driven around in the back of a seatless U-Haul van, according to video obtained by WIRED, and threatened that their lodging at a local motel wouldn’t be paid for if they didn’t meet canvassing quotas. One door knocker alleges that they didn’t even know they were signing up for anything having to do with Musk or Trump. A representative for Musk and America PAC did not return a request for comment. The contract these door knockers signed with Blitz Canvassing, which is a subcontractor of Musk’s America PAC, says they are “expected to maintain a 17-22% engagement rate during the campaign,” which is a high target relative to the number of people who typically open their door for a stranger.
