Your attachment style is created in early childhood. The way you learn to attach to your early caregivers mirrors how you attach to your romantic partners. Understanding your attachment style is very helpful for your relationship empowerment and satisfaction, because when you understand where you came from, how you’re triggered, and the meaning you give to your triggers, then you know how to work with it. This will also help you be a better partner because you will understand how to best work with your partner’s style, and identify more easily when they might be triggered.
In today’s episode of Divine Union, Nicola breaks down the four attachment styles, what they often look like in childhood, and how they manifest in romantic relationships later in life.
