Meaks and Margot unpack season two, episode four, “Cherokee Rose,” and particularly dig into how lies haunt every inch of it, but mostly how wonderful this episode is for developing Glenn, Maggie, Carol, Daryl, and Herschel. We get an epic GO. TO. TOWN. with Maggie and Glenn after we needlessly pull a walker out of a well. We unpack why knowing when Lori suspects she’s pregnant is essential, and it seems to be glossed over in an unhelpful way. And naturally, we spend several longing minutes on Daryl talking to Carol about the Cherokee Rose. Other tangents and topics include: Lori and Shane will never be fun again, Rick and Herschel as patriarchs in conflict, Margot loving Maggie and wanting to write her name on all her notebooks, what do we owe each other in the apocalypse?, wasting hams, the boardgame This War of Mine, Shane admits to turning off his empathy as a cop, and we have feelings about that, and so much more on faith!
