Many a hapless party who got lost in a dungeon crawl have aided those who followed by providing tasty loot and potions. As a player, what methods to you employ in order to make sure you know your way back? As a DM, how much responsibility do you place in the players' hands to map and orient themselves about? Do you see it as the characters' job, or the players', or do you favor the DM providing shared maps with all revealed areas clearly in view?
