The medal is a short story that fills the reader with a sense of fear. Suren, the narrator is a school teacher once he finds a medal in Sudhir hands who is a class fourth student. The medal was old and engraved intricately. Suren decides to show it to one of his village elders. In the village, he meets with his friend Vrindavan in the way he has to cross the bridge to get to his friend all of a sudden an urge to jump into the river gripped him but it lowered when he walked forward.
