Recientemente, hemos conocido que un empleado de una empresa de Hong Kong transfirió casi 24 millones de euros a lo que él creía que era la filial de su empresa en el Reino Unido. En realidad, los estafadores usaron tecnologías de inteligencia artificial para imitar la voz y la imagen del director financiero y otros empleados en una videoconferencia y consiguieron engañar al trabajador. Otros casos de uso de la IA en ciberataques están vinculados con la clonación de voz para intentar engañar a personas o el uso de herramientas de IA para falsificar documentos como el DNI o el carné de conducir.
