When an individual intentionally mispronounces a person name, they are doing so in a attempt to dehumanize that person and have them treated as an object. This is a tactic as old as time in the history of racism, using name calling, questioning intelligence, based on race or gender, couched in innocent tones and ignorance. No matter how brightly the glow from the gas light shines, the intent in clear. It is past time to accept this behavior and the dangerous intentions. It's as old as the instigator and has no place in our country, especially in the highest office. No matter your political ideology this has no place in it. It's time for a change.
