The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (commonly known as Coachella) is an annual three-day music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, in the Inland Empire's Coachella Valley. First official Coachella festival happened in October 1999. Then, after the break of one year, to avoid intense heat during the summer, time of the festival moved to April. In following years Coachella became an event with impressive lineup and amazing atmosphere that attracted many people from all over the world. The event has several stages/tents set-up throughout the grounds, each playing live music continuously. The main stages are: Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theatre, Gobi Tent, Mojave Tent, Sahara Tent and newly introduced in 2013, Yuma stage. For many years I was watching from the sideline (aka another continent) what is happening at this musical oasis in the middle of the desert until finally, last year, I decided to join excited Coachella festival goers. The experience was absolutely mind blowing. It combined many things that I love: opportunity to spend some time in California, before and after the festival, hanging around with some seriously awesome people (making friends for life) and seeing bands in the atmosphere that can't be explained, only experienced.
