Amaro, who’s father was a Gold Glove shortstop for the Phillies in the 60’s, was a player for the 1993 Phillies NL Championship team and the 1995 AL Champion Cleveland Indians. Amaro joined the Phillies front office immediately after his playing career ended in 1998. He remained in Phillies management through 2015. Larry Bowa joins Murph with memories of an August, 1980, battle with the Pittsburgh Pirates at Veterans Stadium.
