In 1775, after the “shot heard ’round the world,” the thirteen colonies in America saw what became a “War of Independence” from the king they were to describe as a ‘tyrant’ in the unanimous Declaration of Independence. Not too much later, a similar, yet very different, French Revolution became a legendary bloodbath. And France never really recovered.

What was the difference?

And why is today likely to produce a far different result than in this same land, back when men were able to agree unanimously that there were, in fact, “self-evident Truths,” upon which a “nation of law, not of men,” could be built?
