COVID Vaccine Gets Closer, But Dr. Jane Orient Stands in Opposition

As the Food and Drug Administration panel recommended emergency use authorization of the Pfizer vaccine for COVID-19, I'll speak to an outspoken physician, Dr. Jane Orient, who questions the efficacy. The executive director at the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons says there is plenty of data yet to learn about whether it’s safety for everyone. With trials showing potential serious side effects for children and pregnant women, they are likely to be restricted during the vaccine’s early stages. Dr. Orient has also been a proponent of making hydroxychloroquine, the drug once touted by President Trump, an over-the-counter medicine for COVID treatment.
