2023 Week 8 Preview: Throwback Uniforms & Consent Awareness Week

Lumen Field will see the Seahawks don their Throwback Uniforms for the first time since leaving the Seattle Kingdome and the AFC behind in 2000. They will host the Cleveland Browns, who will be without starting quarterback Deshaun Watson and coming off a 1-point victory over the Colts. Despite giving up nearly 40 points in that game, Cleveland still boasts a top-5 defense, allowing the fewest passing yards in the league and giving up the second-fewest yards to their opponents. Seattle, too, boasts a stout defense that is top-5 in stopping the run. Still, it’s the offense that will be under the microscope this week, coming off back-to-back underwhelming performances, giving the ball away multiple times, and not being able to muster more than 20 points. Will the Hawks finally put together a complete game? Can the Seattle defense do enough against a depleted Browns roster if the offense continues to struggle?
