Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. It was about five years ago that saxophonist David Binney relocated to California after establishing himself as a fixture on the NYC jazz scene. In this episode of LINER NOTES he shares some of his thoughts behind this move and extols the virtues of what he perceives to be a musically transformed Los Angeles that affords musicians like himself time and space for creativity.
