Dendromancy, magic with Trees. RJ and Elle discuss their relationship to trees as well as the importance of trees to life on earth. The episode begins with trees being connected to divinity or as divine beings. RJ goes over the christian creation story, as well as the mormon relationship to the Tree of Life and the beliefs connected to it. RJ also discusses the Sefirot as another divine tree. Then he moves on to concepts of trees representing the world or holding up the world. He goes of Yggdrasil, the mayan Kopul Tree, and the practice of Warden Trees in scandinavia. Then they discuss the scientific tree of life which is used to track the evolution and genetics of all living creatures on earth. RJ and Elle discuss the importance of forests, including the Amazon Rainforest and the threat of climate change. Finally, RJ and Elle discuss Pando: The Trembling Giant which is the largest organism on the planet by weight and the biggest tree in the world.
