Bloody Machete and Fingerprint Found in Slain Woman's Apartment

New details have emerged surrounding the murder of Samantha Woolery. The 42-year-old surgery resident was discovered dead in her apartment last weekend. Police have charged her ex-husband, Mickey Woolery, with multiple crimes including murder.

Surveillance footage captured Mickey Woolery leaving Samantha's apartment with blood on his hands, feet, and pants. Investigators later found a bloody machete and a fingerprint matching Mickey's right thumb at the scene.

Marietta Police, working closely with Carmel, Indiana authorities, tracked Mickey to his home state where he attempted to flee but was apprehended. Samantha Woolery, remembered for her kindness and generosity, will be missed by many. A GoFundMe page started by her daughter has already raised over $47,000 for her funeral.
