Matt Tokarski- Jefferson County Century Farm

MID-WEST FARM REPORT - MADISON

Matt Tokarski is the 4th generation on his families farm in Jefferson County. They are celebrating 100 years this year with his great grandparents starting the farm in 1924.

In the 1950s Matt's Grandparents took the farm over and got into chickens, with 3,000 laying hens while also milking cows. Also in the 1960's Interstate 94 was built which took off 10 acres of their farm land.

The farm skipped a Generation with Matt's parents taking a step back from farming, while his grandpa still kept things going. But now Matt oversees the farm with him and his wife raising beef cattle and cash crops. Along with boarding horses and raising their 3 year old little girl.
