Abstract: Almost every company that we talk to is working on a digital business transformation—but with new opportunities such as generative AI emerging, transformation is becoming one of several ongoing priorities. When we started measuring transformation progress in 2017, companies were making good progress on becoming future ready; but at the end of 2022, transformation efforts were stalling. In this briefing, we examine why transformations stall—and what actions help companies maintain momentum, illustrated by the transformation journey of Dawn Foods. We also share the most recent financial results for future-ready companies.
