Being a monk in the monastery was like being a kid at summer camp. For me, it was like a summer camp that never ended. There was always something new and exciting going on even with all the structure in my days. In my high school years, I remember going to summer camp and getting off the bus. Everyone was filled with joy and happiness that it was actually scary. But by the end of the week of being immersed in that same joy, I became joyful as well. Monks in the monastery are there to support you on your bad days, and I supported many of my brothers on their bad days. The point of this story is to always surround yourself with people who will build you up and want the best for you.
