The US has $1.7 trillion in student loan debt outstanding
$200 billion of that is private (non-government backed) students loans and about $21 million are in default.
Did you know that if you are in default on a student loan there is a much higher default rate 15-20% if you add up late fees etc.
There is a way out of the digging of that hole and having wages garnished AND a way to stop the downhill roll of the borrower's credit score and God forbid any co-signer credit score being ruined.
