I'm just reading a book at the moment called ‘Indistractible’. What a crazily good title, I wish I’d thought of it. It's a good audiobook. I'm really understanding a lot, and listening, and just having a lot of stuff reassured and reaffirmed.
The whole phrase ‘distraction’ means being taken away (dis) from your action. It's about being taken away from your mission.
If you're able to be distracted from something, ‘distract able’. In my years of experience, when you are able to be distracted, or you are distractable, it’s because the thing that you're doing isn't important enough. If things are important, you give them your attention, you give them their time, you give them effort. You literally will do or die!
