The Upper Room – John 13 Intimacy with the Lord - “I have given you an example” – John 13 marks a change in the audience he’s addressing - The upper room is symbolic – time apart with the LORD - The Setting – long established tradition and cultural - The Lessons the disciples were learning : - servant humility - need for cleansing, comfort in this world, Christlikeness - Peter was going to learn many lessons that night - All believers need to experience PURITY, PRESENCE, PEACE 3 Washings in John 13 1.
