In a shooting at a Christian private school in Madison, Wisconsin, a student and a teacher were killed, and six others were injured. Police said the teenage shooter was also found dead at the scene.

President-elect Trump answered reporters’ questions about the mysterious drones sighted in the northeast. He stated that the government knows where the drones originated but wants to keep people in suspense.

Syria’s former leader, Bashar al-Assad, issued his first statement since rebel forces toppled his regime earlier this month. Assad said he had no plans to flee Syria and claimed that Russia made the decision to evacuate him.
