President-elect Donald Trump announced his latest picks for his upcoming administration: North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum as secretary of the interior, and longtime adviser Steven Cheung as White House communications director.

Leaders of Pacific Rim countries, including President Joe Biden, gathered in Peru for the APEC summit. This marks one of Biden’s last global summits before leaving office, where he is set to meet with the leaders of Japan, South Korea, Australia, and the Chinese regime.

The murder trial of the man accused of killing Georgia nursing student Laken Riley began. In their opening statement, prosecutors said Venezuelan illegal immigrant Jose Ibarra went hunting for females on the University of Georgia’s campus. Meanwhile, defense attorneys argued the evidence in the case is circumstantial.
