The amazing thing about “current trouble” is that it can make you forget about past triumphs. I mean, just a day prior, the Israelites witnessed God destroy Egypt and kill every firstborn male child. You would think that the Israelites would not be worried about Pharaoh and his army anymore, but they’re completely terrified. At this moment, they’re not thinking about what God has done, they’re thinking about their current situation. “Current Trouble” has a way of making you forget where God has brought you from. The devil makes sure of it. Because, if you remember what God had already done for you, you would never be afraid of what the devil trying to do to you.
