It used a social constructivist approach to address two questions: (1) What kind of experiences are interpreted as unsettling by students in PE? (2) Which situational conditions are associated with students’ unsettling PE experiences? We speak about some of the challenges for PE teachers whilst at the same time considering that the issues raised are not uniquely ‘PE’ problems but also problems of society.…
