Portrait of a Londoner is a South-East London based podcast and in this mini-series we will be talking to people who live in London about racism within the UK education system.

In this episode we speak to Naheeda Maharasingham who is headteacher at Rathfern Primary School, a diverse inner London primary. As head Naheeda took the school from special measures to outstanding.

Naheeda is also passionate about research in education and in particular the value of metacognition.
