25 years ago, the world watched as two armed students killed 12 of their classmates and one teacher at Columbine High School and ushered a society out of an age of innocence. In the quarter of a century since the tragedy, Columbine has remained at the forefront of many conversations, informing decisions about law enforcement responses to active shooter incidents, and public concerns for the mental health of our youth.
