Joining me on tonight's episode is Will "Showtime" Blanton, a 27 year veteran of 911 dispatching who currently serves as a Communications Training Officer and Senior Recruiter for his agency in Florida. On the panel as well is Trina Boskat, an Emergency Dispatcher with the New Braunfels Police Department here in Texas. Together they give great insight into the unique and critically important work done by 911 dispatchers, discussing the challenges and rewards of serving in this role. Also on the show tonight is Licensed Professional Counselor Catherine McConnell who joins in to discuss vicarious trauma and its impact on the amazing people who choose this line of work.
