COVID is NOT over but the Tokyo Summer Olympics should be. It's really fucking selfish to put a countries healthcare workers and people at risk for a deadly fucking virus because some people want a fucking medal. Yes it sucks. Yes people trained their whole lives for this moment but some things are bigger than a person or a team. Also, your dream dies if you catch this shit and die or long haul shit not to mention the ripple effect of spreading variants in a country begging to CANCEL the events. It's not rocket science it's just SCIENCE. Oy. healthcare workers shouldn't have to picket on the street to save lives (theirs and others) because of sports. I'm all for getting back to life in a safe and smarter way for everyone (except the antivaxxing assholes) stay safe. get vaccinated. wear a mask indoors. wash ya damn hands & CANCEL THE FUCKING OLYMPICS FOR NOW.
