Dr Maryam Mohammed Dawjee has become the first woman and only the second person in South Africa with a masters degree in Digital Smile Design. This refers to the study of the relationships between the teeth, gums, and lips in order to virtually plan the treatment of patients with dental or facial conditions. With this latest technology that only very few in the world are trained in, patients become part of designing their own smiles.
