Will America's Weakness Invite the Ultimate "October Surprise"?

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. You wouldn’t know it listening to last week’s Democratic convention, but we face the serious prospect of a shooting war with Communist China, possibly this fall. The Harris-Biden administration is not talking about that danger – but it may be the ultimate “October Surprise.” Instead, Cabinet officers like National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellin are, respectively, desperately trying to “manage the relationship” diplomatically and financially prop up – read, buy off – Xi Jinping. Meanwhile, the U.S. Navy is inviting war by exhibiting weakness in the face of the CCP’s immense naval buildup. The Pentagon just announced that seventeen warships must be sidelined for lack of personnel. Others are being retired prematurely, having maintenance deferred and new construction is woefully inadequate. Promises to “ensure America always has the strongest, most lethal fighting force in the world” must be translated into action now. This is Frank Gaffney.
