On today’s show, it’s already time to kick off Week 2 of the fledgling NFL season with an early potential Game of the Year candidate for us tonight, with Justin Herbert, fresh off a Chargers’ win over the Raiders, vs Patrick Mahomes, riding high off a 5 TD performance in the Chiefs rout of the Cardinals. But before we get to this weeks matchups, Gaber and I still have a lot to catch up on from a wild Week 1. Now, by this point, after 500+ shows and decades of football viewing, we both know better than to try to take too much away from the opening week’s results, but I can say with absolute certainty that even if your team was on the wrong side of a decision, the main slate on Sunday was the most thrilling and captivating Week 1 in recent memory. We had the height of NFL star power with the aforementioned Mahomes performance, Josh Allen bullying defenders and Justin Jefferson juking jabronis, we had close games, we had upsets, we had a tie, we had OT…and we had injuries, and it all just came helter-skelter for 6 straight hours. And just like that, football, is, back! How about that Stugotz? The NFL, the 'ol pigskin? Yeah, we’re already in deep, so today, we’re going deep on everything we saw Week 1, and despite all the action, the non-stop excitement, there were a lot of teams that had flat out let downs, and we’re taking a look at how justified fans might be to be disappointed in their squads. Plus, we always have some NBA chatter for you, even in the absence of anything meaningful going on in the Association, but hey, we’re die-hards and the season is less than 5 weeks away!
