The systems were minimal and basic, and, you know what, they were perfectly fine! JB has a laugh talking about his family's 256 MB computer and having to uninstall programs just to free up space to use a scanner they got for Christmas. Plus, the era of dial-up internet -- with the AOL CDs and the squealing phone lines and the virus fears, JB reflects on how slow everything was back then. Could you tolerate that today? Probably not.
