After enduring a career-ending head injury, Chris has dedicated his professional life to serving patients and families affected by brain trauma, particularly Chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that develops after repeated head injuries. In fact, the very nature of hospitals--what they're designed for--makes them understandably frightening. We can hope for the best when we have to visit a hospital, but we also know that it's a place where, inevitably, the worst is possible even in spite of best efforts.
