Barb is a woman who has constructed her career around LinkedIn. Although, she had gone through many trials and tribulations before finding her place, she has grown a successful business. She provides advise on becoming a LinkedIn influencer, as well as her tips on maintaining a professional presence on a competitive platform.

Throughout the podcast, she summarizes how she began working, received speaking opportunities, and grew her business. She made it clear that listeners should be constantly learning and adapting to their field. In addition to showing people who your authentic self through your actions. She summarizes her ‘Box Theory’ approach to compartmentalize aspects of one’s life. Therefore, one can give 100% at whatever task needs to be done.

1. When you see a need, fill it.

2. When someone says you can’t do something, just say “watch me”.

3. Say yes, then figure out how.

4. Learn to make money without being there.

5. Say yes, show up, and be noticed.

6. You never know who you are meeting, stay open.

7. Pay attention to your pivotal moment.

8. You must shut ‘her’ up, or you won’t go anywhere.

9. Force yourself to go to new comfort zones.

10. Thank the people who are working to make you look good.

11. Your actions should be your authentic self.

12. Consider introducing Barb’s box theory.
