Mary has been married to Jason for 19 years. They have two children (13 & 10), and three dogs. Mary is a second-degree black belt in martial arts and has found a new joy in roller disco. On weekend mornings she can be found enjoying a good book and a cup of coffee with a pup or two on her lap. She has been with the Daimler corporation for 19 years and is currently serving as the General Manager of Product Strategy and Market Development for Daimler Trucks.

In this episode of Courage Becomes Her, Mary talks about how she ascertained that this was the right time for a cross-country move when she had turned down previous opportunities to do so. She talks about how getting comfortable with change is a process involving identifying what is important, talking openly and honestly about your concerns, recognizing your threshold for stress and your capacity for change, not being afraid of adventure, reminding yourself that nothing is permanent, not second-guessing yourself, and being intentional about exploring and discovering newness together as a family.
