Manage episode 303173349 series 2431555
Today we will continue our Sustainable Leaders series and have a Talk Story with Kevin Nute, a professor and an architect who brings health and well-being into a home and work place through design. It’s a very interesting concept and our goal today is to explain this mostly visual concept through words on a podcast for our listeners! This concept is called Naturally Animated Architecture and we will see how something so subtle and naturally derived can bring people to a healthier state of mind. To have a better visual of our non-visual podcast, please visit Kevin's website to learn more and see it for yourself: http://www.vitalarchitecture.org/
Kevin Nute teaches the history and theory of architecture at the University of Hawai’i, Mānoa. He received his architectural training at the University of Nottingham before working in practice in London, Hong Kong and Singapore and earning his PhD at the University of Cambridge. Kevin
spent his early career in Japan, first as a visiting research scholar at the University of Tokyo and later as an associate professor at Muroran Institute of Technology. He has won numerous Architecture Awards and Prizes, is an author and we will go into detail on one of his books called Naturally Animated Architecture.
