The Difference the Resurrection Makes (3/31/24)

The funny thing about the resurrection narratives (like John 20) is they don’t actually tell us about the resurrection itself. We’re not told about the moment the moment Jesus gets up, removes his burial clothes, and rolls away of the stone. Instead we’re told about those who discover the empty tomb. What’s narrated is not the event, but the discovery of the event by Jesus’ closest friends and how that discovery transforms them.
