12-24-23 - How Will the Future be Different Due to Jesus/CRISPR?

The readings for the 4th Sunday of Advent are 2 Samuel 7:1-11, 16, Luke 1:46b-55 or Psalm 89:1-4, 19-26, Romans 16:25-27, and Luke 1:26-38. The Reading for the Nativity of Our Lord are Isaiah 9:2-7, Psalm 96, Titus 2:11-14, and Luke 2:1-14, (15-20), or Isaiah 62:6-12, Psalm 97, Titus 3:4-7, and Luke 2:(1-7), 8-20, or Isaiah 52:7-10, Psalm 98, Hebrews 1:1-4, (5-12), and John 1:1-14. This week we look at how CRISPR in its current state is very similar to what it was like when Jesus was born. We didn't know fully what to expect and even with the birth of Jesus, we still didn't understand what it would mean for life going forward. We currently are in a similar spot with CRISPR. The potential is great, but we don't know fully what it will mean for life going forward and how it will change life going forward as well.
