In this episode of Irish Tech News Sangeeta Waldron speaks to Claire O’Neill, co-founder and director of A Greener Festival (AGF), a not-for-profit company, committed to helping events, festivals and venues around the world to become more sustainable and to reduce environmental impacts.

We discuss waste at festivals, diversity and inclusion, gender balance line-ups, something called regenerative tours where artists connect with indigenous communities while on tour, the ‘Declaration of Sustainability’, and of course the impact of the pandemic on festivals and us as festival goers, along with the boom in festival goers this year.
Claire O’Neill is also the organiser of the ‘Green Events & Innovations Conference’, and chair of the ‘Green Working Group for the Association for Electronic Music’. If that wasn’t enough, Claire is also part of Arcadia Spectacular, working as show producer and aerial performer at the Glastonbury Festival and on international tours; and a director of the not for profit arm “Arcadia Reach CIC”.
