Evidenced even in ancient times, people often used plants not only for food and medicines to alleviate pain and suffering but also as a means of connecting with and honoring the spiritual realm and creating change. People in different cultures around the world have created spells, practices, and energetic safeguards for themselves, loved ones, pets, and property as well as to increase feelings of love, passion, and romance. In fact, many of these plants are some of the earliest and most-used around the globe and can still be used to create modern “love potions” and protection spells, among many others.
