Today, I have a very special guest: Amanda Knox.

For those of you who don't know Amanda, she is an exoneree, journalist, public speaker, and author of the best-selling memoir, "Waiting to Be Heard."

Between 2007 and 2015, Amanda spent nearly four years in an Italian prison and eight years on trial for a murder she didn't commit. The controversy over Amanda's case made international headlines and unwillingly thrust her into the public spotlight, where she was vilified and shamed.

Amanda now works to shed light on the issues of wrongful conviction, truth-seeking, and public shaming. Her essays and journalism have been published in major publications like USA Today, the L.A. Times, The Atlantic, The Independent, The Free Press, the Seattle Times, and Seattle Magazine.

Amanda is also the co-host of the podcast "Labyrinths." In Labyrinths, Amanda and her co-host Christopher Robinson delve into stories of getting lost and found again through compassionate interviews, philosophical rants, and playful debate with fascinating people.

I invited Amanda on my show to talk about a five-part series she did in her Labyrinths podcast, "Blood Money," which looks at the history and evolution of true crime content and the many ethical dilemmas that appear when creating and consuming true crime.

"Blood Money" is a must-listen for any creator or consumer of accurate crime content. I was so grateful that Amanda agreed to come on the podcast to talk about how the series came about, her struggles with her own story being exploited by content creators, and how we can all strive to be more ethical when creating and consuming accurate crime content.

Enjoy my interview with Amanda!
