When a young Eva Kollisch arrives as a refugee in New York in 1940, she finds a community among socialists who share her values and idealism. She soon discovers ‘the cause’ isn’t as idyllic as it seems. Little does she know this is the beginning of a lifelong commitment to activism and her determination to create radical change in ways that include belonging, love and one's full self. In addition to Eva Kollisch’s memoirs Girl in Movement (2000) and The Ground Under My Feet (2014), LBI’s collections include an oral history interview with Eva conducted in 2014 and the papers of Eva’s mother, poet Margarete Kolllisch, which document Eva’s childhood experience on the Kindertransport. Learn more at www.lbi.org/kollisch . Exile is a production of the Leo Baeck Institute , New York | Berlin and Antica Productions . It’s narrated by Mandy Patinkin. The Philadelphia Eagles have had a season of monumental success when we take a look at what the team and organization have done. As they head to the NFC Championship game this weekend, we dissect the offense and defense, how they’ve grown and where they may be vulnerable. Tom from Daily Dose joined us this week for an in-depth discussion about this season, a look to the Commanders matchup, and if any team neutralize the rushing attack.
But first, the guys discussed the recent Baseball Hall of Fame inductees who are heading to Cooperstown, and those former players who didn’t make it this year. (Approx. 4:45)
From there, they talked about and reflected on the podcast discussion with Gary “Sarge” Matthews about how baseball scouts should be inducted into the Baseball Hall Of Fame. (Approx. 13:40)
They guys then moved on to talking about the Philadelphia 76ers season, how it has been a complete flop, and how they may need to tank and live to see another season. (Approx. 23:30)
Then the guys dove into the how this Eagles team has been a success this season, especially with Vic Fangio and Jeff Stoutland putting both of their units in great positions to be the juggernauts they are. (Approx. 33:15)
What they threw down on the Table this week was an in-depth discussion with Tommy from Daily Dose about this Eagles season, and what we can expect to see during the NFC Championship Game against the Washington Commanders. How has the Eagles defensive line continued to grow? What needs to get cleaned up on offense and defense for them to be successful during the rest of this postseason? Can anyone neutralize Saquon Barkley and the rushing attack? All of this and much more this week on the Table! (Approx. 42:30)

The Philadelphia 76’ers season hasn’t gone how we all hoped it would. But at the moment, they’re winning games. Are the Flyers teasing us at the moment? Or should this team look to fight another season? This week, Harrison Grimm from LibertyBallers.com joined us for a great discussion about the Sixers and what should happen for the remainder of this season after so many injuries and sheer disappointment. But first, the guys talked about the Eagles heading to the Super Bowl, and the many ways this team has been resilient over this season. (Approx. 4:25) From there, they discussed the recent MLB Network list of shortstops and how Trea Turner is now ranked No. 10 after being ranked No. 5 last season. Is this indicative of a decline? (Approx. 14:10) They guys then moved on to talking about the Philadelphia Union being banned by FIFA from “registering new players for the next three transfer windows, and how this is reflective of an incompetent organization. (Approx. 23:00) Then the guys dove into some Flyers talk, and how Danny Briere has handled acquiring talented needed to take this team to the next level. Meanwhile, while we were recording, it was announced that the Flyers traded Morgan Frost for Calgary forward Andrei Kuzmenko. (Approx. 32:40) What they threw down on the Table this week was an in-depth discussion with Harrison Grimm from Liberty Ballers as we’ve been following a number of storylines with the Sixers. Should the Sixers tank as it pertains to the OKC first-round pick? Thoughts on Daryl Morey and his job security. So many injuries have allowed other players to show what they have - so who may be a key piece moving forward? All of this and much more this week on the Table! (Approx. 47:25) A big thank you to our friend of the show, Josh Shuster, from philadelphiasoccernow.com for filling in for the guys this week and cohosting with Jeff. This week on TABLE TALK , Jeff sat down with Tim Kelly from OnPattison.com for a great discussion about this Phillies hot stove and offseason. The guys dove into some storylines that Phillies Nation has been following as well as some under-the-radar storylines as well. Topics that Tim and Jeff dove into: The Phillies scouting department was on hand for Max Scherzer’s recent throwing session. Are they truly interested in the 40-year-old? Should centerfielder Brandon Marsh get some time hitting against lefties right out of the gate this season? If so, what would that mean for other aspects of the roster? Do the Phillies or the Dodgers have the best starting rotation in baseball? Assessing J.T. Realmuto and his effectiveness coming into the 2025 season. The Philadelphia Eagles are NFC Champions and are heading to the Super Bowl! The Birds beat the Washington Commanders down at The Linc in the NFC Championship Game by a score of 55-23. It will be the second time in the past three years that the Eagles are heading to the Super Bowl. We gave our thoughts, themes, and grades after the game. Jalen Hurts performed incredibly well given the knee issue that was bothering him for much of the week after the game against the Rams. But the real offensive story from the game was 7 total rushing touchdowns thanks to Hurts, Saquon Barkley and a very resilient offensive line. Vic Fangio’s defense, played incredible at all levels once again this week holding Jayden Daniels and the Commanders offense to only 23 points. Turnovers were a huge theme in this game as the Eagles had three fumble recoveries. As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams, and then graded each unit on both sides of the ball, as well as the coaching staff.
