Hello again Racing Ears,
This is a special episode where Rick Knoop talks about his week at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac Michigan. For the week of September 27 of 2021 Rick was at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac Michigan at the Motorsports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies for 2020 and 2021. Both events were amazing and it was really fun to catch up with Rick after being a part of both black tie events at the M1 Concourse.
Later in the week the M1 Concourse celebrated the Inaugural American Speed Festival. This event showcased historic racing cars from the likes of NASCAR, Can Am, Indy, Grand Touring Prototypes, and a special car called "Sweepstakes". It was great to hear Rick talking about his week with me for the podcast. Rick was also on TV!!
We later got to chat about his plans for later this month at the HSR Classic 24 Hour at Daytona Motor Speedway October 27-31 in Daytona Beach Florida.
And we also had a chance to discuss his efforts with Duncan Dayton at the 2006 Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring in the Lola EX257, which was a former racing car owned by the Dyson Racing Organization of Poughkeepsie New York.
