We interview Julius Kramer, Advisor on Youth, Peace and Security at the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM), about the importance of the UN’s Youth, Peace and Security Agenda and what it represents, UN engagements in advancing the role of youth in peacebuilding, and what Somali decisionmakers can learn from young peacebuilders. We also interview Hawa Tufah, youth activist in Puntland, about the role of young people in fostering dialogue and tolerance in Somalia. She also discusses the challenges encountered by young peacebuilders in Somalia and how these challenges can be overcome. The programme is presented by Ali Gutale and Fathi Mohamed.
