The ANC in Johannesburg says it has resolved to forward the name of its regional chairperson and current Finance MMC, Dada Morero for the position of the Executive Mayor of Johannesburg. The announcement follows the resignation of Johannesburg Mayor, Kabelo Gwamanda. Gwamanda, submitted his resignation to the Speaker of Council today following consultations. Briefing the media in Johannesburg, ANC regional secretary Sasabona Manganye says Gwamanda's resignation is the culmination of robust engagement within the ANC structures and 13 political parties representing the government of local unity. SABC reporter, Mbalenhle Mthethwa spoke to outgoing Johannesburg Mayor, Kabelo Gwamanda.
