It should come as no surprise to regular listeners that I really dig the work of local drummer/composer Tetyana Haraschuk (making her fourth appearance on the podcast), but her new record, ‘Until the Sun Comes’, takes things to the next level.

Here's our conversation about the album — an emotional, boundary-pushing companion piece to a new documentary film based around Tetyana’s interviews with Ukrainian war refugees.
It’s heavy subject matter, but focusing on the impact of war on individual civilians… and then translating their anxiety, fear, aspirations, etc. into a motherfucker of a great jazz record… you just gotta hear it.
