The first fundamental of creating is "F*** your fundamentals" Or rather that the best way to create anything is to consider that your core values and what you're looking to get out of things is often different to someone else.

So whether you're looking to understand the fundamentals of photography, Illustration, sculpture, baking, building, music or anything which requires some level of method and technique to complete My first suggestion is to simply just try and work with what you have and then build on top of your first fail.
