Sarah Winograd is my guest today. Sarah is a mom of four, adoptive parent, and community organizer dedicated to improving the lives of marginalized children, youth, and families. Her experiences growing up in Belarus showed her the severe impact of government corruption and poverty, instilling in her the importance of speaking and living truthfully. As a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), she launched Together for Families, a grassroots effort to prevent foster care by addressing poverty-driven family separations. Now a program under Advocates for Children, they support over 180 families, empowering them to thrive and keeping 98% of children with their families. As Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director, she strives to create a foster care diversion program that provides tools, resources, and community support, allowing families to build safe, stable lives without welfare involvement or family separation.
