Leadership is about way more than your job description. In today's episode, Executive Leadership Coach Sarah Francescutti gives you the low down on acting up (for the role you want).
- No more back room behavior like having a bad attitude, gossiping or complaining.
- Reverse engineer your career path. Be proactive in seeking the training or skills you need and invest in yourself.
- Expand your capacity to receive opportunities. You need to build up experiences and wisdom to lead with empathy and effectiveness.
- Technical expertise is no substitute for people skills.
- Leadership can be lopsided. Because no one is good at everything, focus on building up your strengths and working with others who have skills to offset your weaknesses.
- Authenticity trumps all. People respond to the real you not a polished "shell" person with whom they cannot relate.
